1966 GT 350

1966 GT350 SFM6S285. White, blue stripes. This fully restored GT350 reads only 36,000 on the odometer. Previous owners dating back to 1969 have verified the mileage as correct. Because it was an ex-drag racer from Michigan, the original engine died back in the 60's. It has since been replaced with a date correct K-code 289ci/306hp.

This 1966 GT 350 has a 3.90:1 rear end and a  four speed.

The car remained parked and unregistered from 1973-1989 and was restored throughout the mid-eighties. SFM6S285 has gone through many collectors over the years but ironically enough, Jeff Burgy (founder of the Shelby American Automobile Club-Motor City Region) actually owned this car in the early 70's. SFM6S285 was used in Jeff Burgy's article "How To Lower Your Control Arms" (see the 2000 Tony Branda parts catalog for the actual article). SFM6S285 was also pictured in the book "Shelby Buyer's Guide"(see pages 32 & 33).
