1968 SHELBY GT500

This car was plastic media blasted and primed with PPG20. Completely dissembled and fitted together.  There was some lace rust in the C pillar passenger side by the scoop. This was mig welded and filled. The motor was bored .030", boiled out and rebuilt with 10.5 C.R. flat top pistons, comp. cam 428CJ type, lifters and springs. The 390 GT heads were replaced with CJ heads and exhaust manifolds from Shelby Parts and Restorations. The intake manifold is an aluminum Police interceptor painted to match the block. 

The carb looks correct but is a Holley from a '67 390 cid. The distributor is also from a '67 motor. There is no smog set up on the engine. The radiator is recored but retains the FOMOCO shell and tank. New calipers, rotors, rear shoes and power brake booster from Master Brakes. All interior pieces are new with the exception of the dash pad (in perfect condition) and steering wheel. Transmission is a rebuilt C6, new U joints, 9" rear end 31spline axles - 3.25 open differential. The car is a one owner car from Houston and has 89K miles on the chassis. New 10 spoke wheels with 205 60 R15 tires.
