1 Evotech Performance Kawasaki Z1000 Fender Eliminator / Tail Tidy. 2014 to 2018. Bun002172 – Best Kawasaki Fender Eliminator
First up in this fender eliminator review is the Evotech Performance Fender Eliminator. This Evotech kit is made for the Kawasaki Z1000 model from 2014 to 2018.
It is constructed from aircraft-grade aluminum, powder-coated black, and is triangular in shape.
Evotech provides you with step by step instructions with pictures to install this fender eliminator via their website. You’ll find all the parts you require for mounting included in the packaging.
The instructions are relatively easy to follow, but it is a rather lengthy process. You will need a few Allen wrenches and a Phillips head screwdriver on hand.
Plug and play…
On the sides of this fender kit, you will find mounting holes for your OEM turn signals. Evotech has also provided a new LED rear light for your license plate. Both the turn signals and the number plate light are plug and play compatible with your stock wiring harness.
This tail tidy is also compatible with 2018 and 2020 Z1000R Special Edition bikes as well.
- Small form factor.
- All installation materials included.
- Compatible with your stock turn signals.
- Installation process is rather lengthy.
2 Fender Eliminator Kit for Yamaha FZ-07 MT-07 2015-2019 – Best Yamaha FZ MT 07 Fender Eliminator
Motodynamic is next up with their fender eliminator kit that is compatible with Yamaha FZ-07 or MT-07 model bikes from 2015 to 2019.
This kit is laser cut from 304 stainless steel. It is then powder coated to increase durability and to prevent rust.
Like the previous fender kit, this one bolts directly on to your bike. It comes in multiple pieces that offer a degree of adjustability when positioning your license plate.
When it comes time to mount your turn signals on this kit, you have two adapters included. The first one is for your stock OEM signals. The second one is for aftermarket turn signals. With these adapters, you can mount any turn signal as long as they have 10mm mounting holes.
After we installed this kit, we went for a rather long drive around town. However, on our way back, we started to notice some rattling sounds coming from the fender. While we were confident that we had tightened absolutely everything correctly, we noticed that some of the bolts had come loose during the course of our ride.
By no means was the fender about to fall off, but we were still concerned, nonetheless. We would recommend using a thread sealer when tightening everything together just to be on the safe side.
- Bolts directly into your stock fender fitting.
- Multiple adapters included.
- Different style turn signals.
- Manufactured from 304 stainless steel.
- You’ll want to use a thread sealer during installation.
3 Yamaha R6 Fender Eliminator (2017-Present) – New Rage Cycles – Best Yamaha R6 Fender Eliminator
New Rage Cycles’ Fender Eliminator is a super-compact option for Yamaha R6 bikes from 2017 onward. You will barely even notice this fender eliminator kit when it is mounted on your bike.
When this is installed on your bike, your license plate will be angled upwards. It almost lays flat underneath where your pillion seat is.
Your license plate will actually be a tad bit more difficult for others to see as you ride down the road. New Rage Cycles has considered this and integrated a small LED light to help illuminate your plate and increase its overall visibility.
Also, on hand are two skinny LED turn signals. These turn signals are yellow in color and flow seamlessly around the rear of the fender eliminator.
That’s not all…
This fender kit is incredibly easy to install in only eleven steps. You’ll only need a screwdriver and some pliers. You also get OEM wiring adaptors that will plug directly into your stock wiring harness, so you do not need to worry about splicing the factory wiring.
One thing we did notice is that you will occasionally hear your license plate rattle. This is mainly noticeable over bumpy roads and should not be too concerning.
- Compact and bright integrated turn signals.
- Plug and play wiring with your OEM harness.
- Less than an hour to install.
- License plate placement could be a tad more visible.
4 PUIG Fender Eliminator Kit – Black 1579N – Best Suzuki Fender Eliminator
PUIG has been in the motorcycle parts business for over 50 years, so we have some pretty high expectations. If you own a 2003 to 2006 Suzuki SV1000/S, this might be one of the best fender eliminators for you.
This fender eliminator is made from 2mm sheet iron, and it is finished in a black epoxy that is highly resistant to rust.
Located on the sides of the license plate mounting bracket are two screws. These screws allow you to adjust the angle at which your license plate is positioned. We found this particularly useful, especially if you were to modify the height of your bike. This can make your license plate more challenging to see, and fortunately, this eliminates that problem.
If you want to make the rear of your bike more visible, they have also included a reflective panel that can be mounted on to this fender eliminator.
Installing this product is relatively straightforward. You will only need a few tools on hand for tightening down the screws and bolts.
When it comes time to wiring this up to your stock harness, you will need to do a bit of cutting. The stock wiring on hand with the SV1000 will need to be spliced for it to reach your turn signals and number plate light.
You will also need to buy aftermarket turn signals as the OEM turn signals are just too large to fit into the mounting holes provided.
- Adjustable license plate position.
- Compatible with the SV650 from 2003 to 2008.
- Epoxy finish is rust-resistant.
- OEM turn signals are not compatible.
5 Fender Eliminator Plate Bracket for Honda CBR600RR 2003-2020 / CBR1000RR 2004-2007 – Best Honda CB Fender Eliminator
TST Industries’ fender eliminator kit is compatible with all Honda CBR600RR motorcycles from 2003 to 2020. It will also work on CBR1000RR bikes from 2004 to 2007.
This T-shaped kit is made from steel alloy and only weighs 3.7 ounces. To install this kit, you will need to have a drill handy.
On newer model CBR600RR’s you will need to drill into the servo case to mount this kit. Early to mid-2000 model CBR600RR’s will need to have holes drilled into the sub tray of the bike.
This will permanently change your bike, so you should take that into consideration before going ahead with the installation. Once you have your holes drilled, though, all of the mounting hardware you will need is included.
Turnsignals and lighting…
Something that is not included in this kit’s design is a space to attach your turn signals or a number plate light. So, you will need to go out and purchase additional mounting hardware for your stock turn signals and license plate light.
This kit is very well priced, so that should leave you some spare cash to pick up the other necessary accessories.
- Attractive price point.
- You need to use a drill for installation.
6 R&G Racing Fender Eliminator (Standard) (Black) for 13-15 Honda CBR500R – Best Honda CBR500R Fender Eliminator
For all of you Honda CBR500R fans, R&G Racing has you covered with this next fender eliminator.
If you own a CB500X from 2013 to 2019 or a CB500F from 2013 to 2015, do not feel left out. This kit will mount on to those bike models as well.
This kit comes in two main pieces. You will have an ABS molded plastic tail unit and an epoxy covered aluminum license bracket that attach to one another.
When it comes time to install this fender eliminator, make sure you have a good hour to an hour and a half to spare. You will need to split your OEM wiring harness to accommodate your turn signals, and the stock turn signals can then be attached directly to the sides of this kit.
R&G has also integrated a number plate light right into the tail unit.
A few tips…
Based on further research, we have found out that some of the OEM wirings have been colored incorrectly. So, after you attach the wiring according to the instructions, if the turn signals do not work, just swap the connections.
While the wiring might trip you up, there is an even more significant concern when installing this fender eliminator.
When you remove your OEM fender, there will be a metal support bracket hanging down the rear of your bike. You will need to cut off a section of this with a hacksaw or a Dremel tool, for example. But, the precise length at which to cut this is provided in the instruction manual.
Plenty of useful information…
For more detailed step by step instructions with pictures, you can head to R&G’s website as well.
When all is said and done, this is one very sharp looking fender eliminator, but it will permanently change your bike.
- Durability is top-notch.
- Compatible with multiple turn signal types.
- Cutting is required for mounting.
- Wiring connections might be incorrectly labeled.
Best Fender Eliminator Buying Guide
Before buying a fender eliminator, you should consider a few key things.
First and foremost, you want to make sure fender modifications are legal where you live and ride.
Your license plate may be less visible when attached to a fender eliminator. Therefore, the angle at which the license plate is positioned is also essential. You want to make sure your license plate will not reflect back on drivers behind you yet still be easily seen.
Once those technicalities are out of the way…
You need to consider the style of your fender eliminator. The main idea is to get rid of that bulky stock fender so you should be on the hunt for something compact yet functional.
A fender eliminator is a pretty simple concept. They can be a small bracket for your license plate to attach to, or they may even have integrated LED turn signals, for example.
They can be made from plastic, metal, or a combination of both. What it is made out of will directly determine its durability.
When you are driving down a road, anything from rocks to mud can come in contact with your fender. This will place stress on the frame and could potentially cause it to break if it is made from sub-par materials.
Some fender eliminators will be compatible with your stock turn signals and number plate light. If the fender kit you chose is incompatible, you might find yourself having to buy more aftermarket accessories.
You might even choose a kit that comes with its own integrated lighting. Unless you are using your stock turn signals, you will need to consider if the wiring is compatible as well.
Most fender kits come with adaptors to remedy this problem. If your fender kit doesn’t come with plug and play type adaptors, you will probably have to splice into the factory wiring.
When mounting your kit to your bike, you may be required to do some drilling or cutting for it to fit correctly. Some fender kits will simply screw directly into the holes left behind when you remove your stock fender, though.
If you do end up cutting or drilling into your bike, this will permanently affect your motorcycle. This will not affect the motorcycle’s performance, but it could affect the resale value of the bike down the line.
The ideal fender eliminator for your bike will leave your bike looking much more sporty, no matter if you are driving or parked in your driveway.

Once it’s installed, you will hardly notice it’s there, and that’s why it takes the win in this roundup.
The way New Rage Cycles has integrated the turn signals and number plate light make this the most compact fender eliminator we tested. Installation was also about as easy as it could get thanks to the included wiring adaptors and mounting hardware.
The price point it sits at, is rather steep, but when it comes to your bike’s look, we think it more than justifies the cost.
