Best Garage Parking Aid On The Market In 2021 Reviews
1 Park-Daddy PDY-50-AA Single-Vehicle Precision Garage Parking Aid System – Best Parking Garage Sensor System
The Park-Daddy from Invis-a-Beam uses two infrared sensors to aid in parking. These sensors can be set up from five to a hundred feet from one another. You will also have an RF radio receiver that needs to be powered through a cigarette lighter power port. This RF radio receiver will turn red once you cross the sensor threshold.
It will stay lit and emit a warning chime until your vehicle completely crosses the sensor barrier. Once the car is entirely inside the garage, the notification light will turn green and go silent.
The two infrared sensors are very easy to set up. They have an adhesive backing that easily peels away so they can be placed directly on the wall of your garage.
There are also two screw holes available on the back of each sensor. You can use these to attach the sensors even more securely to the inner walls of your garage.
Each of the sensors requires two D-cell batteries to operate. Battery life can last up to one whole year. Battery life can be affected by a few things like cold weather, for instance. It’s essential to keep that in mind down the line, so they don’t die on you unexpectedly.
These sensors work with just as little as one inch clearance. You also aren’t limited to driving straight into your garage and can back in as well. Park-Daddy also sells additional sensors and radios. When they work together, they can accommodate up to a four-bay garage.
- RF radio has a 100-foot range.
- Battery life can last for up a year.
- Can set garage clearance to as little as one inch.
- Notification chime can be distracting.
2 MAXSA 37312 Park Right Dual Laser Parking Guide, Silver – Best Mid-Range Garage Parking Aid
Maxsa Innovations offers us this next Garage Parking Aid. The Park Right® model we are looking at is made for two-car garages. Setting this low-profile parking aid up is easy thanks to the included mounting hardware. You can either use double-sided tape or the included screws to attach it to the interior of your garage.
To power the Park Right®, you will need to have an outlet nearby. This does make it a better trickier finding the right mounting spot without using an extension cord. We found that mounting it on the ceiling next to your garage door opener works well. You could also place it on the wall you face when you pull into your garage.
This parking aid has a dual laser setup. When you pull into your garage, you need to remember a predetermined spot on your car that when the laser hits you know to stop. The lasers can be adjusted easily in almost any direction. This parking aid also incorporates a ten-foot motion sensor that automatically powers it on.
While the laser module is perfect for a two-car garage, you also use it in a one-car garage just as easily.
- Automatically powers on thanks to a motion sensor.
- Dual lasers can work in one or two-car garages.
- Easy to mount.
- Power adapter cable could be longer.
3 Park Zone PZ-1600 Precision Parking Aid – Best Narrow Garage Parking Sensor
This next parking aid might think you have a tiny traffic light in your garage. The Park Zone PZ-1600 works just like a traffic light due to the red, yellow, and green lights it displays. Once you pull into your garage, you will be given the green light. As you get closer, it will change to yellow and then to red, letting you know to stop.
Installing the PZ-1600 is easy. The parking aid comes in two pieces. The first being the sensor, and the second being the light bar. These will attach to one another via a telephone cord type cable. To power up the unit, you will need to install four AA batteries.
Things to consider…
Before screwing the light bar into the wall, you will want to consider how tall your vehicle is. An SUV or truck will sit much higher than a car, for example. This will affect your line of sight when looking out of the vehicle while pulling into the garage. If you set the light bar up for a small car, you might not even be able to see it when trying to park a tall truck.
The cable used to attach the two units isn’t that long. You will want to have the sensor placed level with your bumper. Once all said and done, position your vehicle where you would like it to calibrate from. Simply turn on the park aid, and after a few moments, it is ready to go. While the setup is sort of tricky, we found this parking aid to be very accurate time and time again.
- Easy to understand just like a traffic light.
- The sensor module is very accurate and reliable.
- Batteries are not included.
4 Electriduct 72” Heavy Duty Rubber Parking Block Curb 3.75” Height 6 Feet Long – Best Premium Garage Parking Aid
We have all gone over speed humps while driving. This next parking block aid reminds us of a six-foot-long one. Electricduct’s heavy-duty parking block measures three and three-quarter inches tall. It is shaped like a trapezoid and made from rubber that is six inches wide.
Simple set up…
Setting this up is as simple as laying it down where you would like your vehicle to stop. It weighs just over thirty pounds, so it isn’t that hard to move. Once you have it in place, you simply drive up until your tires hit the curb and stop. While the rubber bottom of this parking aid grips well, it does have its limitations.
We noticed that the surface you put it on needs to be very clean. If you have too much moisture or any amount of oil on the floor, its grip will be significantly diminished.
Not all garages have motion-sensing lights that run on or off when you open the garage door. Electriduct’s Parking Block Curb has integrated ten highly reflective yellow stripes into it.
This makes it extremely noticeable, no matter the lighting conditions, and thus safer.
- Easy to see in the dark.
- Long lasting.
5 STKR Concepts 00-246 Adjustable Garage Parking Sensor Aid, Dark Gray – Best Value for the Money Garage Parking Aid
First, we had a parking aid that reminded us of a stoplight. Now, this parking aid from STKR is a mixture of a stop sign and part stoplight. That’s is if you can imagine a stop sign that changes colors depending on how close you are to it. The stoplight looking section of the device is connected via a four-foot cord to a sensor and can either be powered by four AA batteries or via USB.
The sensor attaches to your interior wall by double-sided tape. Whereas the light-emitting section uses Velcro. You will want to park your vehicle at the desired distance before calibrating the unit. Once you are ready to calibrate, simply press the “Set Distance” button.
Once you have parked your car for the night, you may need to walk in front of it. The shape of your vehicle might block light from the very front of the vehicle.
This can make it difficult to see and even be a bit dangerous. The sensor on the STKR aid has a built-in light that will illuminate automatically for forty-five seconds after your vehicle has stopped.
- Built-in pathway lighting.
- Parking distance can be from six to six feet away.
- Can be charged via USB.
- The Velcro and adhesive provided aren’t that strong.
6 Camco AccuPark Vehicle Parking Aid Provides A Parking Stopping Point For Your Garage (44442) – Best Budget Garage Parking Aid
Camco’s AccuPark is the cheapest offering in this Best Garage Parking Aid roundup. The AccuPark is another curb style parking aid. It is made from very durable polypropylene. Along the edges, you will find ribs that aid in preventing warping over time. Like other parking blocks, you simply need to place this in position, and you are ready to go.
But there’s a catch…
This curb top stop measures just a tad over eighteen inches long. It is only one and a third inches tall as well. You will definitely want to take it extra slow as to not drive over these. On the bottom of the curb, you will find pre-installed adhesive to attach it to your garage floor.
While it is long enough to stop one tire, it definitely won’t reach the other side of the vehicle. You will most likely find yourself buying more than one of these. This shouldn’t be too much of a concern because of their low price point.
- Priced very attractively.
- They are made from UV stabilized polypropylene.
- The dimensions of them make it so you will want to but more than one.
7 PARKING TARGET HD24: Heavy Duty ParkingTarget – Best Heavy Duty Garage Parking Aid
Parking Target’s HD24 is another speed hump type aid. It measures two feet long and just over an inch tall. The HD24 is constructed out of heavy-duty commercial plastic. It can withstand the weight of an RV or even a firetruck. Located on the bottom side of the parking aid is a simple peel and stick adhesive. This adhesive holds reasonably well on concrete.
We also tried it on an epoxy floor as well and had mixed results. Most of the time, it held fine, but occasionally it would slip. If you were to move these after they have been set in position, you would want to replace the adhesive.
His and Hers…
Included in the packing with this speed bump, you will find a set of His and Hers decals. These stickers allow you to assign parking spaces accordingly. We thought they added a bit of fun to the idea of a speed bump, but that’s about it.
According to Parking Target, you only need one stop block per vehicle. While that works fine, we also tested these by setting them up between the front and back of the tire as well. We found that with the low height of these parking blocks, you can quickly run over it. If you decide to purchase additional units, you might find it more reassuring as you pull in your garage.
- Can handle the weight of large vehicles.
- Measures 2 feet long.
- Decals provided for assigned parking.
- For a stop block, they are a bit expensive.
8 PARKEZ Flashing LED Light Parking Stop Sign For Garage – Best Stop Sign for Garage
Kole Imports PARKEZ LED stop sign provides a straightforward approach when it comes to garage parking aids. This flashing parking aid is basically a moveable stop sign for your garage. This parking aid can even be used in any sized garage.
It comes in four sections that will need to be screwed together and attached to the weighted base. The top part features an octagonal-shaped sign with the words “Stop” on it.
When you pull your vehicle into your garage, you will drive towards this sign until you touch it. The stop sign section will then start blinking, letting you know your car is in the correct position. Included in the packaging are two AG-13 type batteries that power this parking aid. Battery life is top-notch and only uses power when you initially touch the parking aid.
Will it damage my vehicle?
Since your bumper will be making contact with this parking target, you might be worried about it damaging your car. Once you make contact with the poll of the stop sign, it will bend away from your bumper. Depending on how hard you contact the parking aid, it might not lean back on its own.
We have mixed feelings about this…
While sixty percent of the time, it returns upright the rest of the time it doesn’t. It isn’t a huge concern since all you have to do is adjust it yourself. The weighted base is very sturdy, and we weren’t concerned about it falling over completely.
You can also adjust the height of the stop sign to accommodate different sized vehicles.
- Won’t damage your vehicle’s bumper.
- You can adjust the height of it.
- The weighted base is robust.
- The blinking lights falter occasionally.
9 Tkach Enterprises Park Ranger Amazingly Simple Garage Parking Aid/Assistant
Tkach Enterprises Park Ranger is another easy to install parking aid. It consists of a square-shaped open-ended box with red lines on it. It mounts flush to the wall sort of like a picture would. You can also place it on a shelf with double-sided tape if you so choose.
When you pull your car into your garage, the red lines on the Park Ranger become one straight line when you are parked correctly. It sounds simple enough, but this is where we notice a bit of a problem.
With your vehicle in the garage, you will need to sit in the vehicle’s driver seat before mounting the Park Ranger. You will then want to have a friend position it for you so you can only see one solid red line. The accuracy of this parking can vary based on your sitting position. It will not be one hundred percent accurate every time.
This parking aid is meant to be used with the same car and driver every time for the best results. If you try to use this with a different vehicle after its setup, it won’t work correctly.
- Sits at a low price point.
- You can mount it in various locations.
- Accuracy can vary quickly.
10 MAXSA 37340 Park Perfect Light Up LED Parking Ball
The last parking aid we are going to look at is another option from MAXSA Innovations. This simple light-up ball hangs from your ceiling. It comes with eight feet of line, allowing it to be set up with vehicles of all sizes. Powering the Park Perfect Parking Ball are three batteries.
Once you set up this tennis ball looking parking aid, you simply drive into it. When your windshield makes contact with it, the ball will light up, notifying you to stop.
This LED Parking Ball is made from hard plastic. We noticed that the ball would occasionally not light up after you make contact with it. You will have to jar it pretty good for the internal sensors to turn on the light. The ball doesn’t stay lit very long, either.
We set this up so it would make contact with our windshield. The reasonable price point makes this a simple light up bulb a good value even if it only lights up occasionally.
- Comes with 8 feet of rope.
- The hard-plastic ball doesn’t damage your windshield.
- Batteries are included.
- Hard contact is needed for the light to turn on.
Best Garage Parking Aid Buying Guide
The Best Parking Aid for your needs might use lasers or might just be a ball on a rope. Throughout this review, we have looked at many different types of quality parking aids. While one parking aid might work well for us, it might not suit all of your parking needs. There are a few things to consider, no matter the type of parking aid.
The size of your garage has a lot to do with how you park your vehicle. You might have a one, two, three, or even a four-car garage. Most of the parking aids we have looked at were suitable for guiding one vehicle into the garage.
Parking aids that work like speed bumps are certainly sufficient for a single car or multiple car garage. They are easy to install and built to last.
Parking Aid Size
While some may be the width of your vehicle, some may only cover the size of one of your tires. So you might find yourself needing to buy more than one in the long run.
Lasers, Outlets, and Speed Bumps…
Whereas parking aids that use sensors allow you to accurately park your vehicle every time they require power to work. Typically, they run off batteries or can even be plugged directly into an outlet. They tend to take up a tad more space since they need to be mounted on the wall of your garage. You also may need to consider where the nearest electrical outlet is, or you could end with wires all over the garage.
You will also find garage parking aids that use lasers. Some laser parking aids can accommodate multiple cars at once. The only problem we have with laser type parking aids is accuracy. You will need to remember a spot on the vehicle that when the laser hits, you know to stop. Lasers can also be dangerous if you shine them in your eye.
Line of Sight or Contact?
We also looked at parking aids that either require line of sight or actual contact with your vehicle to aid in parking. Line of sight type parking aids may seem simple in concept, but they can be challenging to use. They do need to be calibrated to a specific car and driver. You can also get varying results if your sitting position changes. They are one of the cheapest parking aids available, though.
Parking Aid Type
Stop sign or ball type parking aids work well and are some of the simplest to set up. You simply hang or place one of them where you want your vehicle to stop. When you pull into your garage, some stop sign park aids will flash once they are jarred.
Ball-type aids might hop off your windshield once you have made contact with them. These are accurate, but they do touch your vehicle. The materials they are made out won’t typically damage your car, but you can never be too cautious.
Depends on your needs…
Whichever type of aid you go with, you will definitely end up parking more accurately. Accurate parking is crucial, especially if you have other stuff in your garage that limits the space available to you.

So, what is the Best Garage Parking Aid?
Which of these options would we want to pull into when we get home? Our pick is the…
It takes the win in this roundup! We found it to be the easiest and most accurate to use. The two infrared sensors are super sensitive, allowing you to park safely every time.
Setting the two sensors up is easy as lining them up behind your bumper and sticking them to the wall. The RF radio does require power, but all you need is a cigarette lighter type port to plug it into. Once you break the infrared beam, all you do is keep moving forward till the radio gives you the green light to stop.
